Mary Lee (Lipscomb) Black, 78, passed away peacefully on October 26, 2019 in Albany.

The daughter of the late Eric and Vinel Lipscomb, Mary Lee was born on July 2, 1941 in Coeymans, NY.

Mary Lee worked for many years as a professional seamstress for interior decorators in Albany, New York. She devoted most of her adult life to the love and care of her daughter Crystal who was born with Sickle Cell Anemia. Mary Lee was an excellent cook and loved to cook for everyone.

Mary Lee, the wife of her late husband Bernard Black and mother of her late daughter, Crystal Black, is survived by her son, Darryl Black, her sisters, Sally Kirkley, Pearl Croxton, Janet McGrew, and Carol Chamberlain, and her brothers, John, Eugene and James, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, all of whom loved her dear.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, November 6, 2019 from 10:00am-12:00pm New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Rd., Albany, NY 12205. A funeral service to celebrate her life will begin at 12pm. Entombment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery
