Loudonville-Mary I. Boshea, 89, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 22, 2017 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Born on September 2, 1928 in Michigan, a daughter of the late Thor and Emma Lovvig Sandwick. Mary moved to the area at a young age, she graduated from Roessleville High School. Mary's most rewarding job was being able to stay at home and raise her children; for 50 years, Mary worked retail at Macy's while also selling real estate since the early 1970's.
Mary loved being with people, she would always open her heart to everyone; her door was always open for anyone. She loved birds, gardening, baking and was an avid church member of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church. Quite often Mary would travel to Norway to visit her extended family.
Mary was predeceased by her husband, Francis Boshea; son, Steven Fiske; brothers, Howard and Leif Sandwhick.
Survivors include her daughter, Alida A. Earl; son, Clifford E. Boshea; step-son, who was more like her own son, Ron P. Boshea (Deb); brothers, Thor E. Sandwick and Clifford S. Sandwick; grandchildren, Matthew S. Earl and Lisa R. Kelley; four great-grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter.
Funeral service for Mary will be held on Thursday, December 28, 2017 at 12noon at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. Calling hours will be held prior to the service starting at 10am at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens, Albany.
