Colonie - Mary V. (Senna) Bradt passed away peacefully at her Colonie home Thursday, July 24, 2014 with her family by her side after a brief illness. She was born February 14, 1932 in Albany, NY to Michael (Micky) and Virginia Senna, both Vaudeville performers throughout the Eastern seaboard during the 1920's.
Mary and her sister Betty were regular performers, known as the Senna Sisters on WABY radio in the 1940's and the WRGB television show Teenage Barn in the 1950's. She married the love of her life Gerald on February 11, 1956. Mary worked as a secretary at Albany Felt, Montgomery Ward in Menands and Schenectady and retired after 20 years as executive secretary of Personnel from St. Clare's Hospital in 1996. She also helped organize the Employee Credit Union, which merged with Sunmark, serving as loan chairman and vice president and after retirement volunteering in the gift shop. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, a dedicated homemaker and amateur genealogist.
In addition to her parents, Mary is predeceased by her sister Betty and brother Phillip (USN retired). She is survived by her husband Gerald, children Douglas (Kelly) Bradt, Sandra (James) French, nieces Karen (Bill) Klimek and Lisa Senna, grandchildren Tricia Hayner, Liana and Aubrey Bradt and several nieces, nephews and step-grandchildren.
