Mary Brunot
June 9, 1933 — September 15, 2021
Slingerlands- Mary M. Brunot, 88, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 15, 2021. Born in Oswego, NY she was the daughter of the late Albert E. Brunot and Mary Elizabeth (Dalton) Brunot.
Mary was a graduate of Oswego High School where she was valedictorian. She then went on to graduate from Cornell University majoring in math.
Following graduation, Mary worked for G.E. Large Steam Turbine Generator in Schenectady and then for NYS OGS and Division of Housing and Community Renewal.
She was the original member of the Jimmie Girls softball team in Schenectady and founding member of the Jimmie Girls Sports Foundation. Mary was the founding member of the Capital District Chapter of the Retired Public Employees Association where she was a secretary and an active member of its Community Service Committee.
Mary was a longtime friend of Irene Olson and her family.
In addition to her parents Mary, is predeceased by half-sister Minnie E. Brunot and half-brothers Willis and Albert Brunot.
She is survived by her nephews and their families.
Mary's interment will take place at Riverside Cemetery in Oswego.
