Mary B. Burgess
October 29, 1944 — February 28, 2017
Rotterdam- Mary B. Burgess, 72, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 28, 2017. Mary was the daughter of the late Patsy and Bridget Belfonte and was the devoted wife to the late Lynn V. Burgess.
Mary was a past President of the Ladies Auxillary at VFW Post #1895 in Rotterdam, and supported her husband with bettering the military veterans through other local fraternal organizations. She was an avid animal lover, and supported many societies through her donations towards their care. Her Beagles were her babies, and most of her life she spent loving her dogs.
Mary is survived by her cousins: Thalia Mossidus, Nicole, Michael, and Patrick Archambault; along with several other cousins, nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
In addition to her beloved husband and parents, Mary is predeceased by her cousin Bridget Mossidus Archambault.
Calling hours will be held at New Comer Funerals & Cremations, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie, NY, on Monday, March 6, 2017, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. A funeral service will follow calling hours at 12:00 pm with the burial to take place after at Our Lady of Angels Cemetery, Colonie.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations may be made in Mary's name to the Schenectady County SPCA at:
