Mary C. Bleichert, 84, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 23, 2014 at Albany Memorial with her family by her side.
She was born in Albany to the late Frank and Mae Spanbauer.
Mary was a graduate of Vincentian Institute and later retired in 1991 from New York State Department of Law.
She enjoyed traveling with her family, her lunches with her dear cousin John Boncaro, and especially playing the slot machines.
In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her husband, Ralph C. Bleichert, her step mother Eleanor Spanbauer, her brothers John F. Spanbauer and Edward J. Spanbauer.
Mary is survived by her children; Kathleen Comtois of Cohoes and John (Kelly) Bleichert of Latham. She is the cherished grandmother of Todd (Stephanie) Comtois of Schuylerville and their children Bailey Comtois, Carter Phillips, Ava Comtois and Clayton Comtois; and Eric (Kelly) Comtois of Cortland and their children Zachary Michales, Owen Michales and Lia Comtois. She is also survived by many extended family members.
Mary's family is grateful for the compassion shown by the Emergency Room and the Fourth Floor staff at Albany Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services will be Friday, March 28, 2014 at 1:00 pm at New Comer-Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie. Calling hours will precede the service from 11 to 1 at the funeral home. Interment will follow the service at Our Lady of Angels Cemetery.
