BALLSTON LAKE-Mary C. Murphy, 85 passed away unexpectedly and peacefully on Tuesday, December 9, 2014 at her residence. After being born in Clinton to the late John H. and Catherine E. (Carr) Sator, Mary lived and raised her family in Voorheesville before retiring with her late husband Bob to Ballston Lake. Mary was a member of the Beukendaal-George Hope Eastern Star Chapter #271, Daughters of the Nile Temple #18 (a former queen of the Nile) and the Red Hat Society in Clifton Park.
Mary is the beloved mother of Pamela Jeffrey (Allen), Tom Murphy (Robin), Larry Murphy (friend - Donna) and Roger Murphy (Jennifer); the loving grandmother of Kristin Kelso, Jeremy and Colin Murphy, Nicholas and Kaitlin Murphy, and Alexa, Emily, and Jenna Rahrle; great grandchild Andrew Kelso. She is also survived by her sister Joan Meister (Alfred) and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Mary was predeceased by her husband Robert E. Murphy, Jr. on October 1, 2013. She cherished her family and large circle of friends.
Calling hours will be held from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Monday, December 15, 2014at New Comer Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie with a funeral service to immediately follow at 1:00 PM at the funeral home.
Interment will be at St. John's Lutheran Cemetery, Colonie.
