Mary Christopher

BALLSTON SPA-Mary T. Christopher, 90 of Ballston Spa, NY passed away on Friday, April 12, 2013 at Maplewood Manor, Ballston Spa, NY. Mary was born in Schenectady, NY the daughter of the late John and Loretta Giangreco Corbo. During World War II, at 18 years old, Mary worked at General Electric. She also worked at Apex Printing and retired from Sterling Drug Company. Mary enjoyed playing bingo, word searches and taking day trips.
Mary is survived by her loving daughters Phyllis (William) Fronk of Saratoga and Barbara (John) Castracani of Waterford. She is also survived by her grandchildren William (Kimberly) Fronk, Jr. of Gansevoort, Ann Marie Palmieri of Saratoga, Brian (Hillary) Foster of Saratoga and Mary Beth (Richard) Pastore of Watervliet and by her great grandchildren Bronwyn Palmieri, Kai Fronk, Anthony Pastore, Alan Pickett and Isabel Tasso. Mary is also survived by her sisters Carmela Kendall of Florida and Michaelina Tozzi of Florida and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Mary was predeceased by her sister Catherine Vitelli, her brother Joseph Corbo and by her former husband Felix P. Christopher.
Calling hours will be held from 4 to 8 PM on Tuesday, April 16, 2013 at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at Blessed Sacrament Church, Central Ave. Albany.
Interment will be at Our Lady of Angels Cemetery, Colonie.
Memorial contributions may be made to Maplewood Manor Awning Fund or to Hospice in memory of Mary.
