Mary D. Marro

TROY Mary D. Marro, 74, of Troy, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 21, 2005 at her residence, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Troy and was the daughter of the late Andrew G. and Loretta B. Connors Nicoll. Mary was a devoted wife, mother, sister and grandmother. She was a former vice president of St. Joseph's School PTA in South Troy. Past president of the Troy Elks #141 Ladies Auxiliary, and a member of the A.O.H. in Troy. Mary had worked for several years with the NYS Tax and Finance. She will be dearly missed by her beloved family and friends. She is survived by her beloved husband of 53 years, Albert P. Marro. She is the loving mother of Samuel (Christine) Marro, Joseph (Laura) Marro, Michael (Colleen) Marro, Patricia Marro (Neil Clasen), Donna (John) Cannon and Andrew (Erin) Marro. Mary is the beloved sister of Thomas (Theresa) Nicoll, Doris (Paul) LeBeau, Joseph (Mary) Nicoll, Donald Nicoll, Andrew (Carolyn) Nicoll, Ruth Ann (Jack) Yetto and Paul (Janice) Nicoll. She is the cherished grandmother of Matthew, Lauren, Jason, Brittany, Andrew, Joseph, Johnathan, Cassandra, Michael, Julie, Karin, Leah and Mary; great-grandmother of Ian and Maya. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Tuesday morning, March 29, 2005 at 10:00 at St. Mary's Church, Troy where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Calling hours will be Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. at New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie (Rt 155-south of Central Ave.) Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Troy. At the request of the family, memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice of Rensselaer County, 295 Valley View Blvd. Rensselaer, N.Y. 12144 in memory of Mary D. Marro.
