Mary C.Dickson, 100 went home to the Lord on Wednesday, Feb 9, 2022. Born in Little Rock Arkansas on April, 7,1921, she was the daughter of the late Jessie and Julia Woolens. She is reunited in heaven with her husband Earl Prince Albert Dickson.
Mary attend school in Arkansas and later moved to Albany NY. She was a home worker and volunteered throughout the community. Mary enjoyed baking cakes and pies and sewing (especially quilts) but nothing made her more happy than attending church. She attended and was a member of St John's C.O.G.I.C for over 70 years.
Mary is survived by her children Mary-Lee Dickson-Compton, RuthAnne Dickson-Welch, James A. Dickson, Joseph F. Dickson, All of the Albany NY and capital region area, 18 Grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren and great great grandchildren along with nieces and nephews ranging from NY to Chicago and St Louis Missouri In addition to her husband Mary is predeceased by her siblings: Sisters: Ruth Penniman (Chicago Illinois) Fannie Mae Fowler ( Chicago Illinois), Pearline Johnson-Woolens (St Louis Missouri), Brothers: David Woolens (St Louis Missouri), George Woolens (Malden Missouri)
And her youngest daughter Sherry R. Dickson of Albany NY.
Calling Friday, Feb.18 from 9:30am-11am at St. John COGIC, 74 4th Ave, Albany, NY 12202. Service to begin at 11am. Burial to follow at Graceland Cemetery.
