Mary T. Donato

COLONIE- Mary Quackenbush Donato, age 95, passed away peacefully at Kingsway Arms on October 22, 2021.

She was born in Rensselaer, NY the daughter of the late Francis and Mary Barrington. She was predeceased by her two husbands, George Quackenbush and Charles Donato and her two brothers and two sisters.

Mary raised her family in Colonie, retired to Florida and recently returned to the Capital District. In her younger years, she enjoyed bowling and shuffle boarding. More recently, she enjoyed playing games with family and spending time with her children and grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by her children: Kathleen Woschanko (William), Theresa Stein (Thomas), Patricia Tersigni (Joseph), Mary Boucher (Thomas), Thomas Quackenbush, Ann Smith (James); and twin brother, Joseph Barrington (Pam). Also survived by four step children, 16 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her calling hours on Wednesday October 27, 2021 from 4 to 7 p.m. at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie, NY 12205. All are invited to attend her funeral Mass at the Church of Saint Clare, 1947 Central Avenue, Colonie on Thursday October 28, 2021 at 9 a.m. You must park in the main parking lot and enter only through the main parking lot doors. Masks are required and social distancing is to be observed inside and outside of our chapels.

Interment will follow in St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands.
