Mary Elizabeth Durante, 77, of Schenectady, New York, passed away in her home on Sunday, June 2nd, 2024. Born on July 20th, 1946 in Cooperstown, New York, she was the daughter of Benjamin and Margaret (Boggs) Andrews.
Mary graduated from Cortland High School in 1964, and later went on to attend Albany Business College. She was employed at Blue Cross and Blue Shield. After raising two daughters, she worked at Price Chopper supermarkets for over 35 years. She enjoyed going into the store every Saturday to do her shopping as a way to stay connected with not only her co-workers but also the customers that frequented the store, many of which she considered good friends.
She is survived by her daughters Christine Durante and her husband Jason of Schenectady New York, and Kimberly Durante of Sonora, California. She also has two grandchildren Autumn Vincent of Plattsburgh New York, and David Woods of Schenectady, New York, along with several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her two brothers John Andrews and Kenneth Andrews.
