Mary E. Drankwalter

Wynantskill – Mary Drankwalter, 77, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family Saturday May 1, 2010. Mary was born in Queens, NY the daughter of the late Vincent and Mae Harron and lived most of her life on Long Island, where she worked as a waitress for many years. Mary and Vincent relocated to Schenectady in 1993 to live with her daughter and son-in-law. She is survived by her children: Stephanie (Thomas) Anderson, Vincent (Lisa) Drankwalter; her grandchildren, Shawn, Jami, Christian, Michael, Elena, Kenya, and Anthony (Grace); and one great grandson, Thomas. Mary was predeceased by her beloved husband of 46 years, Vincent Drankwalter, her brother, William, her daughter, Mary and her grandson, Vincent. The family wishes to thank the Community Hospice and especially Wendy, Alyssa and Colleen from the Rensselaer office for the friendship, compassion and loving care they gave Mary in her last months. The funeral service will be held Wednesday 11:00am at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie. A calling hour will precede the service from 10:00 to 11:00am at the funeral home. Interment will be in Vale Cemetery, Schenectady. Donations may be made in Mary's memory to the Community Hospice of Rensselaer.
