TICONDEROGA- Mary E. Gauger, 83, of Ticonderoga, passed away on Thursday
November 27, 2008 at the home of her daughter in Glenville, after a brief illness.
She was born in Ticonderoga and was the daughter of the late Michael J. and Anita B. Lillie McCarthy. Mary was predeceased by her husband William Gauger and her children, Margaret Woodman, Charles and James Gauger.
She is the beloved mother of Michael Gauger, Patricia Majumder, Mary A. Gauger, Barbara Gauger-Kent, Elizabeth Gauger-Rinaldi, Claire Sitterley, Kathryn Matthews, Joseph Gauger, John Gauger and Helen Lange. She is the sister of Margaret Ruede, George McCarthy and Francis McCarthy. Mary is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday morning at Immaculate Conception Church, Bradt St Schenectady at 10:00 o'clock. Calling hours will be Sunday from 2 to 5 pm at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Ticonderoga.
