TROY – Mary Quinn, 67, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Monday, September 30, 2013 at Samaritan Hospital.
Mary was born in Greeleyville, SC to the late Rev. Mackey and Emma (McDonald) Felix and graduated from Williamsburg County School in Greeleyville, SC. She was a housekeeper at St. Mary's Hospital in Troy before retiring.
Mary is survived by her children, Gerry (Sherelle) Sanders and April Sanders both of Troy and the late Sonya Sanders; mother-in-law, Aillen McClary of Troy; daughter-in-law, Rosa Sanders of Bronx, NY; five grandchildren, Sheniqua Howard and Rashad Snipes both of Troy, Shawn and Kaelah Sanders of Bronx, NY, Hakim Sanders of North Carolina; two great grandchildren, Nyonna and Nazera Bell both of Troy; two sisters, Carrie Prince and Ceola Canty both of Troy; sister-in-law, Beulah Daniels of Troy; three brothers-in-law, Jerry Daniels and Luther Sanders both of Troy and Robert (Darlene) Sanders of Elyria, Ohio, and special friend, Sam Bazzaro of Troy. She is also survived by a host of other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, Mary was predeceased by her husbands, Leade Sanders and Robert Quinn; five brothers and one sister.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, October 5, 2013 at Bethel Baptist Church in Troy with the Rev. Dr. Eric Shaw officiating. A calling hour will precede the service from 10 to 11 a.m.
Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery in Schuylerville.
