Mary E. Rivers

ALBANY-Mary E. Rivers, 84 passed away on Tuesday, July 29, 2014 at St. Mary's Hospital in Amsterdam. She was born in Wilsboro, NY the daughter of the late Oliver and Gertrude Provost. She worked at St. Peter's Hospital for over 25 years. Mary was an avid bingo player and reader. Her greatest love was her family, especially her grandchildren.
Mary is survived by her children Sandra R. Bell (Ronald), Clarence R. Rivers, Sharon A. Sargent and the late Paul W. Rivers. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren; a sister Grace Mitchell and a brother William Provost and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and her son Paul, Mary was predeceased by her husband Clarence J. Rivers.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday, August 2, 2014 from 10 AM to 12 PM at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie with a funeral service to immediately follow at 12 PM.
Interment will be at St. Patrick's Cemetery, Ravena.
