Mary "Betty" Capalbo, 94, passed away peacefully on May 3, 2015 at her home.
Betty was born January 16, 1921, in Canada, she is the daughter of the late Rudolph and Florence (Nobles) Myers.
Betty graduated from Albany High School, then graduated from Albany Business College.
She loved singing in the choir, playing bingo, her canine companion Cleo and being with her family and friends.
Her professional career included working with the Hebrew Academy and with New York State Commission for Human Rights with Judge Conway.
In addition to her parents, Betty was predeceased by her husband, Daniel Capalbo and her brother Harry Myers.
Betty is survived by her beloved children, Thomas (Carolyn) Lippitt, Patricia (Gary Hawkins) Lippitt-Wainwright, Donald (Inger) Capalbo. She is also survived by grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the West Albany Volunteer Fire Department, 120 Sand Creek Rd., Albany, NY 12205 in Betty's memory.
Funeral Service will be Saturday, May 9, 2015 at 9:00 am at New Comer Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie.
Calling hours will be on Friday from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the funeral home.
Interment will follow the service in Memory Gardens, Colonie.
