Mary Elizabeth(Champagne) Vredenburg

Mary Elizabeth (Champagne) Vredenburg, 64, of Guilderland Avenue, Schenectady, NY, passed away January 5, 2012, at Ellis Hospital, Schenectady. Mary was born October 23, 1947, in Cohoes to the late Ernest and Sophie (Spiak) Champagne. She graduated from St. Michael's School and Keveny Memorial Academy in Cohoes. Mary is survived by her husband of 36 years, David Vredenburg; siblings, Barbara Mitchell of Wilton, Joseph (Zarina) Champagne of Jacksonville, FL, and David Champagne of Red Hook; dear friends, Ann Marie Rutkowski of Schenectady, and Frank Panetti of Clifton Park; her beloved niece, Ellen Mitchell of Corinth; and many other nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, as well as her sister, Nancy (Champagne) Brandenberger of West Hartford, CT. A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, May 10, 2012, at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. Calling hours will precede the service from 5 to 7 p.m.
