ALBANY – Mary Ella McKinney, 79, passed away on February 10, 2012 at home. Born in Worchester, MA, she was the daughter of the late James H. and Ella C. (Hill) Panton.
Mary retired as a manager from New York Telephone Company after 35 years of service. She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America. In her free time, she enjoyed sewing.
Along with her parents, Mary was predeceased by her husband of 33 years, John McKinney.
She is survived by her brothers, James E. (Georgiana) Panton of North Greenbush and Donald H. (Patricia) Panton of East Greenbush; sister Elouise (Fred) Barnett of Florida; nieces Diane Panton, MD and Maren Barnett Earl, and nephews James G. Panton, Scott Barnett, Matthew Panton and Christopher Panton.
