CLIFTON PARK – Mary Ellen Hinckley, 89, passed away on Monday, January 20, 2014 at St. Mary's Hospital in Troy, surrounded by her loving family.
Mary was born on June 1, 1924 in Albany and was the daughter of the late William and Mary (Murphy) Sewell. She was a clerk for the NYS Dept. of Motor Vehicles in Albany for many years before retiring. She enjoyed ceramics, crocheting, boating and camping, but especially spending time with her family.
Mary is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 71 years, George R. Hinckley Jr., her loving children, Sandra (Edward) Meisner, Judith Lennon, George (Susan) Hinckley III, and Robert (Kathleen) Hinckley; 10 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren. She was predeceased by two brothers, William and James and a sister, Eleanor.
Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association of NENY, Pine West Plaza, Bldg. 4, Suite 405, Washington Ave. Ext., Albany, NY 12205 in memory of Mary Ellen Hinckley.
