Mary C. Engel, 87, of Albany, passed away on August 19, 2021.
She was born on May 20, 1934 to the late Henry and Alice (Lenz) Tammany.
Mary was a lifelong resident of Albany and a communicant of St. Patrick's Church (Shrine Church of Our Lady of the Americas). She enjoyed going to the yearly retreats at Pyramid lake. Mary loved to read and do crossword puzzles and she was famous for her Christmas cookies.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband of over 40 years, Donald R., son Donald E., sister Alice, grandson Patrick, son-in-law John J. Felts and her beloved cat Jake.
Mary is survived by her daughter Deborah Felts, son Richard (Megan) Engel, grandchildren Jessica Felts, John "Josh" (Robin) Felts, Richard (Deb), Matthew (Anna), Christopher (Bridget), Henry, William and Sophie Engel, great grandchildren Jackson Felts, Callan and Genevieve Engel, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be held Monday, August 23, 2021, from 4:00 pm to 7:00pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Rd, Colonie, New York.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 24, 2021, at 11am the Shrine of Our Lady of the Americas, Albany. Interment to follow at Our Lady of Angels Cemetery, Colonie NY
Memorials are suggested to the Columbia Greene Community Hospice 47 Liberty Street, Catskill NY.
