Mary Gerry

SCHENECTADY – Mary Gerry, 81, of St. Joseph Street, Schenectady, went home to be with her Lord on Wednesday, September 5, 2007. She passed away at her daughter's home.
Mrs. Gerry was born on March 9, 1926 in Tarrytown, NY and was the daughter of the late William W. and Grace Trutt Horne. She met her cherished husband, Wilson A. Gerry, Jr., while he was at his first job with the Katonah Record in Katonah, NY. They married on September 9, 1945. He passed away on March 1, 2007.
Mrs. Gerry was a longtime beloved member of the Pineview Community Church where she served faithfully. She worked as a custodian along with her husband at the Pineview Preschool and as well as an afternoon aid. She enjoyed her home and spending time with her family.
Mrs. Gerry is survived by her two daughters, Ruth Oesch and her husband Jeffrey of Schenectady, and Jacquelin Maxim and her husband Jonathan of Pensacola, FL; one son, William Gerry and his wife, Lorraine Smith of Charlotte, NC; her sister, Edna (Paul) Emery and her brother John (Rosemary) Horne all of Middletown; 12 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was also predeceased by her brother, William W. Horne, Jr.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Monday at Pineview Community Church with the Rev. Brian French, pastor, officiating. Interment will follow at Memory's Garden, Colonie. Calling hours will be held at New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie on Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Pineview Community Church, 251 Washington Ave. Ext., Albany, NY 12205.
