EAST GREENBUSH-Mary C. Gosch, 88, of Rosewood Gardens passed away on Monday, September 3, 2012. Mrs. Gosch was born in Albany, NY the daughter of the late Frederick and Mary Sheehy King. She has resided in Albany most of her life. Mrs. Gosch worked for NY Telephone as a long distance operator prior to marriage. She was a communicant of Our Lady Help of Christians Church. Mrs. Gosch was very active within her church including being a Eucharistic Minister, a member of the Altar Rosary Society and the Elizabeth Ann Seaton Society. She was devoted to her faith and her family. In addition she was also a member of the Second Avenue Seniors and enjoyed bowling at South End Lanes.
She is survived by her sons John E. (Patricia) Gosch of Niskayuna and Edward J. Gosch, III of Albany; her grandson Edward Gosch; sister in law Catherine King of Colonie; one nephew and two nieces.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Gosch was predeceased by her husband, Edward J. Gosch; a brother, Frederick C. King and by a sister, Anne Kalvelage Boynton.
The family would like to acknowledge a special thank you to the staff at Rosewood Garden for all the loving care that Mrs. Gosch received.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Monday, September 10, 2012 at St. Francis of Assisi (formerly St. John/St. Ann's) Church, 88 4th Avenue, Albany.
Calling hours will be held prior to the mass from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the church.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Christ the King Church, Westmere Speaker Fund in memory of Mrs. Gosch.
