Mary Huttner

Mary (Ferro) Huttner, 85, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 9, 2014 at the Springs Nursing & Rehabilition Center in Troy, NY. Mary was born in Watervliet, NY to the late Concetta and Sebastiano Ferro. She is the wife of the late Frank E. Huttner.

Mary enjoyed vacationing with her family in Wildwood New Jersey, spending time with her friends at Beltrone and the seniors in Watervliet, but mostly she loved going to lunches and the movies with her sisters. She was an avid Boston Red Sox fan and her favorite player was Pudge Fisk. She worked for several years as a packer with Behr Manning, Watervliet.

In addition to her parents and her husband, Mary was predeceased by her sister Angeline Altieri.

Mary is the devoted mother of Frank A. (Christina) Huttner. The beloved grandmother of Ryan Francis, Heather Lynn Huttner and Laura Elizabeth Duval. She is the sister of Genetta Rogers, Frances Marilla, Anthony (Mary) Ferro, John (Theresa) Ferro and several nieces and nephews.

Understanding the love between a mother and a child is endless. Especially, when the journey towards motherhood is extensive. The birth of Mary's son, Frank, changed her life for the better, exemplifying the true love only a mother can feel.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to The Community Hospice of Albany County, 445 New Karner Rd., Albany, NY 12205 in Mary's memory.

Funeral services will be Friday, February 14, 2014 at 11:00 am at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie. Calling hours will be Thursday from 4 to 8 at the funeral home. Interment will follow the service at St. Agnes Cemetery.
