GUILDERLAND – Mary Jane Carrow, 75, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, February 20, 2007. She was born in the Bronx in 1931, the only child of Kathryn Ryan and Charles Post. Until her teenage years she lived in Queens, then her family moved to Tupper Lake, NY. She always felt privileged to have attended Tupper Lake High School and felt a special bond with her classmates. In 1952 she graduated from Memorial Hospital School of Nursing, where she also felt privileged to be a member of the class. In 1953 she was married to Alfred J. Carrow and they were blessed with eleven children whom they raised in Guilderland. Her husband Al passed away in 1983. Mary Jane was a communicant of Christ the King Church, where she participated in many of their ministries. She is survived by her children, M. Theresa Donnelly of Guilderland, Melanie (David) Carrow-Colpoys of Ballston Lake, Charles M. (Julieann) Carrow of Guilderland, Ellen F. Carrow of Guilderland, Lesley A. (Michael) Markham of Guilderland, Jessica R. Carrow of Clifton Park, Jeremy J. Carrow of Albany, Anthony J. (Christina) Carrow of Guilderland and the late Kathryn, Martin and Monica Carrow. Also surviving are eleven grandchildren. Mary Jane's family would like to thank both Community Hospice of Albany and Saratoga for all of the care and support given to her and her family.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday at 11:00 a.m. at Christ the King Church. Calling hours will be Sunday from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. at New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). Interment will be held in the spring in St. Alphonse Cemetery in Tupper Lake, NY.
