Mary Kerker

COLONIE – Mary Kerker passed away on Wednesday, May 9, 2007. Born in Calabria, Italy, she was the daughter of the late Ferminio and Rose Amitrano. She was raised in Middletown, NY and resided in Colonie for most of her married life. Mary worked for the N.Y.S. Dept. of Taxation & Finance until her retirement. Mary and her husband loved to travel, seeing most of the United States and Italy. She loved to crochet and give her crocheted presents to friends and family, especially the babies. She will be greatly missed by those who loved her. Mary was the beloved wife of the late Harry A. Kerker who preceded her to heaven two years ago. She is the beloved mother of Harry (Janis) Kerker of La Canada, CA, Richard (Barbara) Kerker of Charlton, Robert (Valerie) Kerker of Glenville and the late Donald Kerker. She is the sister of Dominick (Stella) Amitrano, Lena (Robert) Amitrano and Milly Amitrano. She will be sorely missed by her grandchildren, Ashley Kerker, Schuyler Kerker, Holland Kerker and Hudson Kerker.
Funeral services will be Tuesday morning at 8:45 at New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave.) then to Our Lady of Mercy Church at 9:30 a.m. where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Calling hours will be Monday from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Entombment will be in St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands.
