Mary F. Klouse

June 7, 1944 — June 10, 2023

It is with great sadness that the family of Mary F. "Marette" Klouse, 79, of Colonie, announce her peaceful return to Our Lord on June 10, 2023 while surrounded by her family.

She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 59 years, Kenneth R. Klouse, and their children: Regina M. (James D.) Maguire, Laura E. Klouse (Angelo Christofides), Kenneth B. (Melonie) Klouse, Anthony E. Klouse and Andrew J. Klouse. Her unconditional love was passed down to her children, who never fail to stand together in good times and bad. Always with her beloved husband Ken by her side,Mary played an active role in the lives of their grandchildren: Matthew J. Maguire, Amanda K. Maguire, James L. (Alexandra) Paige, Brianna R. Paige, Alyssa D. Klouse, Ryan M. Klouse, Madison E. Klouse, and their great-grandson, Emerson J. Paige.

Marette will be forever missed by her brothers Jack (Marline), Brian F. and Kevin M. Fitzpatrick, and her sisters, Rosemarie Fitzpatrick and Elizabeth A. (Mark) Benedetto, as well as numerous extended family members and friends. Mary was predeceased by her parents, John P. and Mary F. Fitzpatrick of West Albany.

Described as a "pretty, green-eyed brunette" in 1961, Mary was a finalist in the Albany Tulip Queen competition. She had a short career working as a bookkeeper for several businesses. Followed by her most important role as a skilled and dedicated homemaker. Mary was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, known for her sense of humor and quick wit. Everyone who came into her house became part of her family, and she hosted numerous gatherings over the years for her large family and group of friends, creating wonderful memories that are often fondly recalled - with laughter - and will be forever cherished.

Mary's passing leaves a large void in the lives of her family and friends, but her memory and values will live on through her loved ones. She will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by all who knew her.

In keeping with Mary's wishes, services will be private, at New Comer Cremations and Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie NY 12205.

In lieu of flowers, Memorial Donations in Mary F. Klouse's name may be made to St. Jude's Children Research Hospital.

The family wishes to send a special thank you to all the nurses at St. Peter's Hospital and especially Sue Farrow of the Eddy visiting nurse & rehab association for their care and compassion.
