Watervliet – Mary Lou "Dutchie" Campbell, 81, passed on Tuesday, August 30, 2022 at Evergreen Commons in East Greenbush.
Mary Lou was born on December 12, 1940 in Gloversville to the late James C. and Phyllis (Roland) Slingerland. She worked as a greeter for Walmart in Latham for many years before retiring. Prior to that she worked for Morgan Linen Services in Menands. She loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren as well as all her family very much. And has always been a very kind and giving person to everyone she knew. She loved the staff at Evergreen Commons Nursing Home in East Greenbush, for their kindness and compassion.
Mary Lou is survived by her loving children, Debra L. (Ronald) Howansky, Tammie D. (Michael) Royce and Wayne F. (Susan) Campbell II; her cherished grandchildren, Jessica Howansky, Ronald J. (Laura) Howansky, Lisa (Michael) Nati, Christopher (Holly) Royce, Wayne F. (Molly) Campbell III and Alina Lane; her adored 10 great grandchildren and loving siblings, Elizabeth Kachidurian, Raymond (Nornie) Slingerland, James (Christine) Slingerland and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister, Evelyn Duncan and brothers, Robert Slingerland and Ronald Roland.
Calling hours only on Friday, September 2, 2022, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 181 Troy Schenectady Road, Watervliet, New York. Interment to follow, Elmwood Cemetery, Sellkirk, NY.
