Mary Lou Hooten

TROY-Mary Lou Hooten, 78, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, January 10, 2015 with her loving family at her side. She was born in Myrtle Beach, SC, the daughter of the late Frederick and Ruby (Carr) Myers. Mary Lou was the beloved wife of 54 years to the late Robert J. Hooten. She is the devoted mother of Roger Myers, Ida Gibson-Canty (Meshach), Mary Jane Hooten, Robert (Colleen) Hooten, Jr., Victor (Alma) Hooten, Melvin Hooten, Pauline Hooten and the late James and Jerome Hooten. Also surviving are her siblings Clara, Lucille and Clee Myers, a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Mary Lou was predeceased by her siblings Woodrow, Fred (Sarah) and Geneva (Wirras) Myers and son in law Timothy Gibson.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, January 16, 2015 from 9 to 11 AM at New Comer Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie with the funeral service to immediately follow at 11 AM.
Interment will be at Graceland Cemetery, Albany.
