Mary Lou Lembo

COLONIE – Mary L. Gratton Lembo, 79, of West Albany, passed away Saturday, December 2, 2006 at her daughter's residence in Cobleskill, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Albany and was the daughter of the late Cornelius and Jenny O'Dell Gratton. Mrs. Lembo lived in West Albany for most of her life until moving to Cobleskill two years ago to be with her daughter. She was a manicurist for many years, retiring in 2003. Mary was a parishioner of St. Francis de Sales Church in West Albany. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mary is the beloved wife of the late Michael A. Lembo. She is the devoted mother of Betsy J. Phibbs. Mary is the cherished grandmother of Robert, Michael, James and Jason Phibbs. She is the loving great-grandmother of James, Marissa, Victoria, Morgan, Nicholas, Connor and Cory Phibbs. Mary is the loving sister of Anna DiCarlo, Francis Gratton, Joseph Gratton, John Gratton and the late Florence Benedict, Jean Siddon, Caroline Bates, Edith Ferriero and William Gratton. Also surviving is her daughter's friend, Charles Van Natten as well as several nieces and nephews. "Find peace Mom and Nauna, Daddy is waiting for you. We Love You."
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday at 9:00 o'clock at St. Francis de Sales Church, Exchange Street. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). Interment will be in Memory's Garden, Colonie. Memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice of Albany, 445 New Karner Rd., Albany, NY 12205 in memory of Mary L. Lembo.
