Mary Lou Townsend passed away on Friday, June 26 in her home in Albany, NY. Mary Lou was born on September 30th, 1944 to Santo Rappazzo and Louise Granich(Rappazzo) in Albany, NY. She was married to Michael W. Townsend of Albany, NY and is survived by her son Michael and daughter in-law Lindsey(Searles)Townsend as well as her beloved grandchildren Ethan, Myles and Sophia Townsend.
Mary Lou was retired from the NYS Dept of Health and during her retirement enjoyed going on trips with her cousin Arlene and spending time with her grandchildren. Mary Lou had a beautiful kind soul and will be missed deeply by her family.
Due to the current pandemic there will be no calling hours and instead a Graveside Service will be held at Graceland Cemetery on Tuesday, July 7th at 11:00am. A Celebration of Life will be scheduled at a later date and time.
