Mary Louzanello Evans

GUILDERLAND – Mary Lou Zanello Evans, 73, of Guilderland, entered into eternal rest on Friday August 12, 2011 at her residence.
She was born in Albany and was the daughter of the late Dominic and Mary McLoughlin Zanello. Mary Lou was a graduate of Holy Names Academy and Albany Business College. She was the former President of the Altar Rosary Society at Holy Cross Church. Mary Lou was a manager at Off Track Betting for 22 years. She enjoyed visiting Atlantic City and spending time with her cherished family. She was predeceased by beloved companion Gabe Anyos
Mary Lou is the beloved mother of M. Eileen (Greg) O'Dea, Jeannie Coffey and Michelle (Joseph) Picolla. She is the cherished sister of Louis (Helen) Zanello, Margaret Zanello and Thomas (Lana) Zanello. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
A service of remembrance will be held on Tuesday at 6:00 at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie. Calling hours will precede the service from 3 to 6 pm at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis TN 38105 in memory of Mary Lou Zanello Evans.
