ALBANY- Mary M. Urso, 78, passed away on Tuesday, September 13, 2016 peacefully at her home with her loving family by her side.
Mary was born in Albany, NY on July 16, 1938 to the late Charles and Anna Schissler. Mary worked for many years at Maiden Lane Parking, in Albany, and at Ralph's Tavern in Colonie as a hostess. All those at Ralph's will miss her infectious smile and her ability to make people laugh. Mary will be remembered for her cleanliness, (especially her love of Windex and paper towel), and all the family parties and gatherings she threw over the years. Her passion in life was her family.
Mary is predeceased by her siblings; Gene Schissler, Charlie Schissler, and Joann (Dick) Shaver, her son-in-laws; Lance Endres, and John Cocca, and her nephew, Gene Schissler.
Mary is survived by her loving daughters; Laurie Urso, Suzanne (Robert) Camilli, Kelly Endres, her 8 grandchildren; Danielle, Matthew, Macaulay, Samantha, Kahlia, Jeffrey, Sophia, and Adison, her six cherished great-grandchildren, her sister-in-laws; Mary Schissler, and Joan Sichler, her many nieces and nephews, especially Cindy(Paul) Gentile, Ricky(Tracey) Shaver who looked to Mary as their mother. She is also survived by many great nieces and nephews, family and friends.
Mary's family would like to thank all those at Hospice for the love and compassion they showed Mary during the last months of her life, especially her nurse Heather.
A mass of Christian burial will be Celebrated at Blessed Sacrament Church, 607 Central Ave, Albany, NY 12206, on Saturday September 17, 2016 at 9:00am.
In lieu of flowers donation may be made in Mary's name to Community Hospice, 445 New Karner Rd, Albany, NY 12205.
