She was born in Schenectady, NY the daughter of the late Matthew and Katherine (Majewski) Rowny and lived there with her parents and eight siblings until her marriage in 1944. At that time, Mary and her husband Bill moved to Cohoes, NY where they raised their son and stayed until Bill's death in 1996. The family would like to take the time to thank all of the staff and residents at Heritage for the care, attention and love they gave to Mary. She was blessed to have them. We would also like to thank the staff at Glendale Nursing Home.
During Mary's fifty two years of marriage and after her retirement from Kelly Clothes in Latham, NY, she and Bill enjoyed traveling and were particularly fond of the Maine coastline and the beautiful lighthouses.
