Colonie- Mary E. McCaffrey, 78, passed away peacefully on May 1, 2022 after a long illness.
Mary was born on June 5, 1943 daughter of the late John and Gertrude McCaffrey in Schenectady.
She will be remembered as a wonderful sense of humor. Mary was outgoing and loved living life. With little family, Mary was fortunate to have a LARGE circle of friends whom she cared for dearly, that became her family. A huge thank you to every one of them for the care and support given to Mary during her life. She will be dearly missed.
Mary is survived by her brother, John McCaffrey; nephews, Sean McCaffrey (Debbie), Daniel McCaffrey (Ashley); great nieces, Cora and Maddie McCaffrey; her beloved cat lizzie and many friends.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society, 3 Oakland Ave., Menands, NY 12204.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at 10am at the Church of St. Clare, 1947 Central Ave., Albany, NY 12205. Calling hours will be held on Monday, May 9, 2022 from 5-7pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Rd., Albany, NY 12205. Interment will follow at a later date at Grove Cemetery, Quaker St.
