LOUDONVILLE - Mary Lee (Szesnat) Burnham, 79, wife of the late Edward F. Burnham, Sr., passed away Sunday morning June 5, 2022 at home with her family by her side.
Mary "Mugs" was born in Albany N.Y. on December 4, 1942. She was the daughter of the late John and Florence (Krug) Szesnat. She was a devoted wife to Ed for 55 years before his passing.
Mary "Mugs" was raised in Albany, N.Y. She attended and graduated Our Lady of Angels School. She then met and married the boy across the street, Ed. They settle down raising their children in Loudonville close to family. She taught her children the value of faith, family, and kindness. Mary was a stay-at-home mom, volunteer at school and later worked for Madison Fruit Garden until retiring. She then spent time volunteering at her church, local food pantry and spending time with Ed at home.
Mary is survived by her children, Lori, Ned, Matt, Jeff, and Jay (Andrea). Mary is also survived by two grandchildren, Isabelle and Jason, who she adored. Siblings, Mickey (Debbi), Kenny (Gina), Richie (Laura), Jerry (Judy), Bobby (Karen), David (Brenda), Nancy (the late John), Kitty and Gus (Cindy). Brother and Sister-in-law, Tim and Eileen Burnham and many nieces and nephews whom she loved to spend time with. Predeceased by siblings, Sonny, Joy (Tom) and Chippy.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, June 10, at 1:30 p.m. at St. Pius X Church, 23 Crumitie Road, Loudonville. Calling hours will be held prior at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie on Friday from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Donations to the Feed the Poor or The Parkinson's Foundation in lieu of flowers would be appreciated by the family.
