Mary C. Murphy

Mary C. Murphy of East Greenbush passed away on Tuesday, August 3, 2021. Mary was born March 29, 1933, in Albany to Delores (Gioscia) Knapp and Edward Knapp. She graduated from Vincentian Institute and began working for AT&T, "The Telephone Company". She married James W. Murphy May 31, 1958 and they spent the next 63 years building their life together and raising and enjoying their family together. There are numerous fond memories shared with our mother most notably Saturday night dinners at our parents home.

In addition to her parents Mary was predeceased by her brother Edward Knapp and sister-in-law Constance Knapp.

Mary is survived by her beloved husband of 63 years, James W. Murphy, her children James E. (Kim) Murphy, Dolores Demis ( Michael Hanley), Ann Taylor (Michael Cristo), grandson Ryan (Shannon) Murphy. Mary is also survived by her brother-in-law, sister-in-laws as well as several nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday August 7, 2021 at 10:00 am at The Church of Holy Spirit, 667 Columbia Turnpike, East Greenbush, NY 12061. A calling hour will be from 9:00 am to 10:00 am at the church. Interment will follow the Mass at Our Lady of Angels Cemetery.
