Bedford- Mary Narcisi, 92, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 28, 2018. Mary is predeceased by her husband of 27 years, Rocco S. Narcisi.
Following her completion of her nursing degree, Mary entered the United States Navy Nursing Corp. and served during the Korean War. Mary then married Rocco and moved to Massachusetts and became a citizen of Bedford in 1958. While a resident in Bedford she became involved in numerous volunteer activities. She volunteered at Emerson Hospital for 44 years, the Bedford Veterans Administration Hospital for 39 years. She was also heavily involved in St. Michael's Catholic Church on numerous committees and in religious education and the Bedford Free Public Library. Mary volunteered into her 70's at the Bedford Council of Aging and the Minutemen Senior Services. She was named Bedford Citizen of the Year in 2008.
Mary is survived by her daughter Elizabeth M. Narcisi (Robin Hampton) and three grandchildren, Jillian, Amanda and David Hampton.
Burial will occur at St. Bernard's Cemetery in Concord, MA on Saturday, November 3, 2018 at 12:00pm
