NISKAYUNA – Mary Phyllis Mazzanoble, 80, passed away on Friday, March 24, 2006 at home, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Schenectady, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Frances Vano. Mrs. Mazzanoble was a resident of Niskayuna for all of her life. She worked for the New York State Dept. of Civil Service for 18 years before retiring. Mary loved her family and especially enjoyed spending time with them. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Charles P. Mazzanoble. Mary is the devoted mother of Charles Mazzanoble, Jr. and his wife, Margaret of Niskayuna, Diane Capen and her husband, Robert of Schenectady and Denise Guthinger of Niskayuna. She is the sister of Julia Putorti of Rotterdam and the late Concetta Cappuccitti, Thomas Vano and Anthony Vano. Mary is the cherished grandmother of Kristine O'Brien, Stacy Baum, Michael Mazzanoble, Teresa Vozzy, Robert and David Capen and Matthew and Christopher Guthinger. Also surviving are eight great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Tuesday at 12:00 noon at New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). Calling hours will precede the service from 10:00 to 12:00 at the funeral home. Entombment will be in Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Capital District Dialysis Center, 650 McClellan St., Schenectady, NY 12309 in memory of Mary Phyllis Mazzanoble.
