Mary A. Riley, 84, beloved wife of William F. Riley entered into eternal rest on Friday June 17, 2022. Mary was born on October 11, 1937 in Albany, NY and was the daughter of the late Charles Ochs and Anne Collins.
Mary was loved by many including: her children Darlene (Richard) Sinclair, Laurie (John) Waldron, Robert (Yvette) Schroeder, and Wayne (Kimberly) Riley; her 11 grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, her sisters Margaret Woods, Anne Reynolds, June Glass, and sister-in-law Donna Riley as well as several nieces and nephews.
Mary was also a 'Mom' to several dogs, rescuing them from tough situations and providing them a loving home.
Mary was a devout member of Our Lady of Assumption Church and could be found there most Sundays bringing along a myriad of family members. A devoted wife and loving homemaker, Mary enjoyed crocheting blankets for loved ones and creating custom ceramic pieces. Mary wanted the best for her family and to be loved. She was thoughtful, devoted, caring and a kind-hearted neighbor often helping with Transportation, doing laundry, or assisting in any way she could. Robert and his children fondly remember gardening with Mary who meticulously kept a beautiful array of flowers and plants.
Mary in her younger days loved to have a good time so naturally she enjoyed many holidays and events gathering with her family, a treasured memory for all the family. She will always be lovingly remembered by her many descendants - with her last great-grandchild born on her birthday and given her surname. Anyone who was close to Mary knew they were loved and cared for.
Mary's Celebration of Life for family and friends will be held at The Nines at Western Turnpike, 2350 Western Ave, Guilderland, NY on June 29th from 12:00 pm - 4:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Our Lady of Assumption Church, 498 Watervliet Shaker Rd, Latham, NY 12110 and much appreciated by her loved ones.
