Mary Stuto (MacLeod),73, of Loudonville, died peacefully at her home on February 14, 2024, after a courageous two-year battle with pancreatic cancer.
Mary graduated from Cardinal McCloskey High School in 1968. She married the love of her life, Michael Joseph Stuto, in 1976. She retired from the NYS Division of Criminal Justice after over 30 years of state service.
Mary had a heart of gold and would do anything for anyone in need. She loved the beach life and enjoyed vacationing in Florida for the last 20 years. The joy of her life was her granddaughter, Juliana Jean Conboy.
Mary is predeceased by her parents, John and Mary MacLeod; her in-law parents, Sam and Alicia Stuto; and brother-in-laws, Tory Stuto and Howard Terrill.
She is survived by her loving husband, Michael Stuto; her daughter, Kelly Stuto (Anthony); her son, Michael John Stuto; her adoring granddaughter, Juliana; her sister, Jean Terrill; her in-law siblings: Michele Stuto Burns, Pete and Diane Stuto, Nick and Chris Stuto and Tim and Anne Stuto; her best friend, Mary Criscone as well as a large extended family and network of friends.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, February 21, 2024 from 4PM-7PM at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie, with a service to immediately follow at 7PM.
The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at St. Peter's Hospital and Community Hospice for the extraordinary care they provided to Mary.
