Albany- Mary (Alice) Carroll Walsh, formerly of Troy, NY, died Tuesday, July 24, 2018, at The Hospice Inn, St. Peter's Hospitals, Albany, NY.
Born in Cohoes, NY on July 28, 1931, she was a daughter of the late Lawrence J. Carroll and Harriett Moran Carroll. Alice was predeceased by her husband, Joseph M. Walsh; her son, Joseph M. Walsh III and her sister, Emily A. Ragone.
She was a 1949 graduate of Lansingburgh High School, Troy. She retired from the New York State Department of Taxation & Finance in 1993. She loved going to the ocean whether it was Maine, Georgia or Florida.
Survivors include her daughters, Debra (Robert) Evans and Lori Liddane; her brother, Lawrence (Anne) Carroll; daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Walsh and brother-in-law, Andrew Ragone. She is survived by 7 grandchildren, Kevin (Rachel) Walsh, Kelli (Andy) Trippany, Jennifer (Wendy) Evans, David Eck, Jr, Jessica (Jason) Yap, Robert (Alyssa) Evans, Jr, and Andrew (Keyana) Liddane and 10 great-grandchildren. Also survived by a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, anyone who wishes to send a donation in her memory may do so to the Montgomery County SPCA, P.O. Box 484, Amsterdam, NY, 12010.
