Selkirk- Maryanne D. Radley passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on June 12, 2016 at her home. She was 75 years old. The daughter of the late Clarence and Catherine (Nadaradski) Staats, she was born on February 25, 1941 in Albany, NY. She went to school at St. Joseph's Academy in Albany. Maryanne was a proud member of the Polish American Community Center and was part of the catering team as well as the women's auxiliary. She worked as an independent bookkeeper for many local construction businesses and was retired from the Ravena Coeymans Selkirk School District.
Maryanne loved to watch TV and especially enjoyed QVC. She liked to go out to dinner and would often go to the movies with her son John. One of Maryanne's favorite pastimes was putting together puzzles which she would glue and frame once they were completed.
She was a devout Catholic and was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Albany.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by two husbands, Richard J. Alexander, Sr. and Charles A. Radley; her daughter-in-law Sharon Alexander and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Maryanne is survived by her beloved children: Richard J. Alexander, Jr. and his wife Mary of Cohoes, Mark E. Alexander and his wife Marianne of Marana, AZ and John D. Alexander of Northville; her grandchildren: Melissa Ellsworth and her husband Sam of Northville, Jessica Alexander of Amsterdam, Tiffany Alexander and her husband Justin Hallenbeck of Granville, Samantha Alexander of Marana, AZ and Kimberly Alexander of Marana, AZ; her great-grandchildren: Seth, Hailey, Ethan and Lucas Hallenbeck, Noah Ellsworth and Jezabella Francisco; her cousin Barbara Deso and her husband Ralph who were Maryanne's caregivers for the last two years; numerous beloved cousins.
Visitation will be held from 10am to 1:00pm on Saturday, June 25 at New Comer Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. A funeral service will be held at 1:00pm. Burial will follow at Graceland Cemetery, Albany.
