Marybeth Boncaro

June 13, 1963 — December 30, 2023

Watervliet -
MaryBeth (Hill) Boncaro passed peacefully into eternal rest on Saturday, December 30 at home after a long battle with cancer.
Born in Troy, New York on June 13, 1963, she was the daughter of John S. Hill and Mary Elizabeth (Marano) Hill.

MaryBeth was a graduate of Shenendehowa High School and worked for the New York State Education Department for almost two decades.

MaryBeth was known and loved by her family and friends for her tremendous kindness, compassion, sense of humor and interest in everyone she met. She never forgot a birthday, loved to dance and cherished her wide circle of friends who brought so much joy to her life. In earlier years, she was also a devoted mom to her beloved cats, Gemma, Savannah and Smisha.
One of MaryBeth's greatest qualities was her ability to listen without judgment or interruption. No matter what challenges she was facing in her own life, her door was always open to friends who needed an empathetic ear and support.

A member of Reigning Life Family Church, MaryBeth's commitment to her church community was unwavering and she found great solace and strength in her faith and relationship with God.

MaryBeth is survived by her siblings, Joseph (Lisa) Hill of Clifton Park; John (Kim) Hill of Colonie, Brian (Sandy) Hill of North Attleboro, Massachusetts; her niece Maureen (Hill) Eron, nephew, Matthew Hill, extended family members and many dear friends.
She was predeceased by her mother and father.

The family would like to extend special thanks to Dr. Garbo and Bonnie, the caring staff at Community Hospice, and MaryBeth's closest friends whose help and support eased her final weeks.
