Matilda E. Devoe

COLONIE -Matilda E DeVoe, 64, passed away on Tuesday, April 16, 2013 at home surrounded by her family and friends. Born in Germany and raised in Albany, she was the daughter of the late Miriam and Harry Kagan.

Tilli retired from the NYS Retirement System after 34 years of service. Tilli enjoyed traveling and wintering in Florida. Her pride and joy was her daughter and granddaughter. Tilli was a loving Wife, Mother and Bubbe.

She is survived by her husband of 31 years, Robert M. DeVoe, her daughter Alissa B. DeVoe (Andrew Negus), her granddaughter Lola, her sister Anna Bender (Jeff Bender), her sister in law Char DeVoe (Susan Latham), additional family members, several nieces and nephews, and many dear friends. Special thanks to Dr. Bakst, Dr. Muller and Dr. Fiorenza.


Funeral services will be Thursday afternoon at 1:00 at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens. In lieu of contributions, please pay it forward or consider being an organ donor.
