Matt T. Craver, Sr.

Matt T Craver, Sr., 67, passed away peacefully while surrounded by his loving family on Monday, August 5, 2024 after battling a very long illness. He was born in 1957, in Troy NY, to the late Robert T Craver and Sandra Evans. Matt grew up surrounded by his large family. He was the adoring Husband of his late wife Geraldine Tambolleo, they shared a beautiful life together of over 40 years before her passing in 2022.Matt worked at Albany Medical Center as a Hemodialysis Technician before he fell ill. He prided himself in the kind compassionate care he provided to patients and their families. Before that he had a long decorated career as a floating nurse to many nursing homes, where he would bring his children to volunteer. 

Matt LOVED The Yankees, bowling (league bowling was his favorite and he even was a pro-bowler in his younger years) and he absolutely loved spending time with his family and knew how to put a smile on everyone's face. He will be greatly missed by everyone who had the pleasure of meeting him. We'll never truly be apart, as his memory will live on in our thoughts and hearts and in our memories and we are at peace knowing he is with his sweetheart again.

Matt is survived by his siblings, Michael, Sharon (Kevin Dougherty) and Lenita; his children, Cheryl, Krystal, Matthew (Sherry Lapi-Craver) and Rocco; he had 10 grandchildren that were all absolutely adored; and 3 great grandchildren, Caleb, Logan, Julianna, Giovanni, Rocco II, Jasmine, Zachary, Sean, Zachary and Damian with Everly, Eleanore and the newest addition Callaway.

Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 181 Troy Schenectady Rd., Watervliet, New York on Friday, August 16, 2024 from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm with a funeral service to begin at 5:00 pm.
