Matthew Asprion Jr.

COLONIE – Matthew J. Asprion, Jr., 74, of Colonie, passed away on Tuesday, March 29, 2005 at Albany Memorial Hospital. He was born in Albany and was the son of the late Matthew J. and Sarah Asprion. Mr. Asprion was a resident of Colonie since 1963. Matthew was a U.S. Army veteran serving his country during the Korean War. He was a master stair builder for all of his life. Mr. Asprion enjoyed camping and spending time outside by the pool with his dog Brandy. Matthew is the beloved husband of 51 years to Carol R. Asprion. He is the devoted father of Matthew J. Asprion, III and his wife, Shelley and James D. Asprion and his wife, Nancy. He is the brother of Doris Carpentier and her husband, Rodney. He is the cherished grandfather of Jesse, Melyssa, Jimmy and Joey Asprion. Many nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will Friday at 2:00 p.m. at New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (RT. 155-south of Central Ave). Calling hours will precede the service from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Memory's Garden. Memorial contributions may be made to the Julie Blair Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Attention: Activities, 325 Northern Blvd., Albany, NY 12204 in memory of Matthew J. Asprion, Jr.
