Matthew James Howard Clifford

Colonie, NY – Matthew James Howard Clifford, 30, passed away on Monday, June 19, 2017.

Matthew was born in Schenectady, NY to Trisha and Rodney Clifford on December 11. 1986. He is predeceased by his father, Rodney Clifford. He is survived by his beloved mother, Trisha Fallon-Clifford of Ballston Spa, and his sisters; Kathleen Fallon D'Onofrio (Mike) of MA, Denise Fallon of Schenevus, Christina Clifford of Troy, Anna Clifford of Altamont, Jennifer Clifford of South Glens Falls, Carolyn Clifford (Rob Golen) of East Greenbush and several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his grandmother, Ruth Clifford and his uncle, Russell Clifford of FL, his aunt Luella Clifford of NC, his uncle George Chamberlain III of Fort Payne, AL and several cousins. He is also survived by his beloved Aunt Barbara Dumond-DeRossi of Niskayuna and his dear friends in NY and ME.

Matthew attended Duanesburg High School. His employment history included Lucia Specialized Hauling INC, Bladerunner Landscaping and currently Erie Materials in Colonie. While he was working, Matthew earned a certificate degree at Modern Welding School in NY. Matt loved music and he sang with an amazing voice and enjoyed karaoke. Some of his hobbies included craftsmanship and building things, spray paint art, bowling, taking care of his lizards, playing XBOX games, games of strategy such as Magic and chess and he also ran an EBAY business when he lived in ME. He loved astronomy and was an avid stargazer. Matthew did not turn down a chance to show people he was a great cook. He had a deep love for nature and the outdoors. He was an animal lover and carried a kind heart surrounded by an old soul. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all who knew him.

Calling hours will be held at New Comer funerals and Cremations, 343 New Karner Rd, Albany, NY 12205, on Friday, June 23, 2017, from 5:30pm-8:30pm. A mass of Christian burial will be held at Matthew's family church St. Luke's Catholic Church 1241 State St, Schenectady, NY 12304, on Saturday, June 24, 2017 at 9:00am. Burial will be held at Memory Gardens cemetery, Colonie, NY.
