Schenectady, NY – Matthew Lonergan, 73, passed away Saturday April 10, 2010. He was born in Albany, son of the late Patrick Lonergan Pauline Layman and was a lifelong area resident. Matt served in the US Marine Corps from 1954 to 1962 and worked for Coffee Coach for more than 25 years.
He is survived by his wife Jenny, children: Patrick Lonergan, Earl Rowe, Chester Lonergan, Brian Lonergan, Matt Lonergan, Jr., Michael Lonergan and Jennifer Bink, 13 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, brother Mickey and sisters: Marsha and Paula. Matt was predeceased by his brother Jimmy, sister Kathleen and grandson Tyler.
Calling hours will be Wednesday 4:00 to 700pm at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home Thursday at a time to be announced.
