Guilderland- Matthew A. Sartore, 43, passed away peacefully on October 6, 2022.
Born on November 13, 1978 the only son of the late James and Maria Antonietta (Capoccitti) Sartore in Albany, NY.
Matthew had such a charismatic personality. He developed a very special and unique relationship with each family member, peer, and staff members that he came into contact with. At his Day Program and in his residence, he enjoyed a large cup of coffee each and every morning. After his coffee, he was ready to eat some food. When he smelled breakfast, lunch or dinner brewing in the kitchen, he was the first person to tell his staff members he was hungry! The staff who were cooking or baking in the kitchen were often greeted by a "What you doing?". Not a day would go by that Matthew did not ask for chicken or cookies. Nothing made him smile more than a bowl full of his favorite food. He would smirk and say "yummm!" before the food would even touch his lips.
In his free time Matthew enjoyed sports and music. When the radio was on you would see Matt bouncing to the beat of the music or belting out the lyrics to his favorite tune. Nothing made Matt smile more than hearing his favorite rock-n-roll song blasting on the radio. At his day program, he looked forward to his weekly "Sports Talk" group. He would watch clip after clip of the most recent baseball games. Every Friday at Day Program, you could hear Matt yelling "Red Sox suck!" from the TV room. Matt was an absolute blessing to each and every human being he interacted with.
Matthew is survived by his aunts & uncles, Dolores Capoccitti (the late, John), Domenico Capoccitti (Rosetta), Richard Sartore; cousins, Daniel Capoccitti (Dimitra), Grace Capoccitti Nesci (Frank), Roberta Capoccitti De Chiara (Mario), Tony Capoccitti; his great cousins and the many friends he made at his residence.
